Course Description
This practical course develops hands-on infrared thermography and thermal imaging skills for industrial condition monitoring and inspection. Where formal certification courses focus on theory and qualification, this course focuses on practical application — getting good thermal images and interpreting them correctly in the field.
Participants learn to operate thermal cameras effectively, capture quality thermal images, understand and manage emissivity and reflection, and apply thermography to electrical, mechanical, and building/process inspections. The course is built around practical scenarios and real thermal images, developing the applied skills needed to use thermography productively.
What you will achieve
By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:
- Operate a thermal imaging camera effectively
- Capture quality thermal images in the field
- Understand and manage emissivity and reflected temperature
- Apply thermography to electrical inspections
- Apply thermography to mechanical inspections
- Apply thermography to building and process inspections
- Interpret thermal images and identify problems
- Produce practical thermographic reports
How the course is delivered
This is a practical, application-focused course built around hands-on thermal imaging and real thermal images. Participants work through electrical, mechanical, and building/process inspection scenarios, developing applied camera and interpretation skills.
The programme complements formal thermography certification by focusing on productive field application.
