Overview

Course Description

As AI becomes embedded in industrial operations, governance and regulatory compliance move from optional to mandatory. The EU AI Act — which becomes fully applicable in August 2026 — classifies AI systems by risk level, imposing strict documentation, human oversight, and data-quality requirements on high-risk uses, with penalties reaching €35 million or 7% of global annual turnover for non-compliance.

This course equips industrial organisations to understand and meet AI governance obligations. Participants learn the risk-based structure of the EU AI Act, how it applies to industrial AI systems (including worker management and safety-related applications), and how to build the governance, documentation, and oversight practices that keep AI systems compliant, transparent, and accountable.
