Overview

Course Description

The Power Purchase Agreement is the contract on which every power project stands or falls. It determines whether a project is bankable, how risk is shared between generator and offtaker, and ultimately whether it gets financed at all. As Central Asia, Africa and South Asia tender renewables and storage at scale, PPA competence has become one of the highest-value skills in the energy sector.

This course develops a working understanding of PPAs and how they are structured, negotiated and managed. Participants learn PPA types and structures, pricing and tariff mechanisms, risk allocation, bankability requirements from a lender's perspective, key clauses and their commercial consequences, corporate and virtual PPAs, and the negotiation and management of PPAs through the project lifecycle.

How the course is delivered
