Rebuilding what stood before means rebuilding what failed. Build back better is the principle that recovery is the moment to raise standards — energy efficiency, redundancy, decentralisation, protection of critical elements — and it is embedded in the assessments and financing frameworks that govern reconstruction.

This programme addresses resilient infrastructure design in reconstruction.
