Course Description
Mine action programmes are judged on assurance. Donors fund clearance but pay for confidence — the documented, auditable basis on which land is declared safe and handed back. Programme management and quality management are therefore not administration around the work; they are the product.
This programme addresses the management of mine action programmes and their quality systems. Participants learn programme structure and planning, prioritisation and tasking, the national mine action authority and accreditation of operators, quality management systems in mine action, quality assurance and quality control, monitoring and inspection, information management and reporting, and donor requirements and accountability.
Note: accreditation of operators and certification of personnel are granted by the national mine action authority and accredited bodies. This programme addresses programme and quality management.

How the course is delivered
