Code BII-PHYSAI 4-Day Dubai, Istanbul, Nairobi, Online Online + Classroom
Overview

Course Description

Physical AI — artificial intelligence embedded in machines that perceive their environment and act in the physical world — is moving from experiment to operational reality in industry. Robots that navigate complex terrain, perform hazardous inspections, and manipulate equipment without being hard-coded for every movement are now deployed in real facilities by companies such as Boston Dynamics and Gecko Robotics.

This course explains how physical AI and intelligent robotics are applied to industrial inspection, asset integrity, and hazardous-environment work. Participants learn how vision-language-action models enable robots to understand and act in complex environments, where robotic inspection delivers value (keeping humans out of danger, eliminating blind spots), and how to evaluate deploying inspection robots — directly relevant to reliability and asset integrity.

Objectives

What you will achieve

By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain what physical AI is and how it differs from traditional automation
  • Describe how intelligent robots perceive, navigate, and manipulate
  • Understand vision-language-action (VLA) models at a conceptual level
  • Identify industrial inspection and asset integrity use cases
  • Explain the value of robotic inspection in hazardous environments
  • Understand how robotic inspection integrates with condition monitoring
  • Assess the practical requirements and limits of inspection robots
  • Evaluate physical AI deployment for reliability and integrity programs
Training methodology

How the course is delivered

The course explains physical AI and robotics through real industrial deployment examples from inspection and asset integrity. Participants explore where robotic inspection delivers value using case studies from companies deploying these systems today.

The programme focuses on understanding and evaluating physical AI for inspection rather than robot programming, making it accessible to engineering and operations professionals.

Who should attend

Designed for

This training course is ideal for:

  • Reliability, inspection, and asset integrity engineers
  • Maintenance and operations leaders
  • HSE professionals in hazardous environments
  • Digital transformation and robotics evaluators
  • Engineers assessing robotic inspection
