Small modular reactors are reshaping the nuclear conversation — offering lower capital cost, factory fabrication, shorter schedules and siting flexibility that large plants cannot match. For countries and industries evaluating nuclear for the first time, or seeking power for remote operations and industrial heat, SMRs are the most actively assessed option in the sector.
This course provides a clear, technology-neutral understanding of SMRs. Participants learn the reactor technologies and designs on offer, how SMRs differ from large plants economically and operationally, deployment models and siting, the licensing challenges facing first movers, and realistic use cases including industrial and remote applications — enabling informed evaluation without advocacy.
