Every country operating nuclear facilities, uranium mines or industrial radiation sources must manage radioactive waste — and as Central Asian states build new nuclear capacity and modernise their legislation, radioactive waste management is moving from a legacy issue to a live compliance requirement.
This course develops a comprehensive understanding of radioactive waste management. Participants learn waste classification and characterisation, treatment and conditioning technologies, storage and disposal concepts, transport requirements, the regulatory framework, and the management of uranium mining and legacy wastes — providing the foundational competence required across operators, regulators, and industrial users of radioactive materials.
