Course Description
The Certified Nuclear Professional (CNP) credential, awarded by the American Nuclear Society, validates foundational knowledge of nuclear science and technology across operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, safety and project management. For professionals in newcomer nuclear countries, it offers an internationally recognised way to demonstrate competence in a sector where local credentials do not yet exist.
This intensive course prepares participants to sit the CNP examination. It covers the full body of knowledge — nuclear science fundamentals, reactor technology, the fuel cycle, radiation protection, nuclear safety, regulation, and quality — combined with examination technique and practice questions.
Note: The CNP credential is awarded by ANS following an examination administered at Pearson VUE test centres. Candidates must meet ANS eligibility requirements (typically two years of nuclear industry experience or equivalent nuclear education) and apply directly to ANS. This course is examination preparation and does not itself confer certification.
