Course Description
A defence manufacturer entering export markets enters a control regime before it enters a market. Items, technology and even technical conversations can be controlled; the wrong transfer creates criminal exposure, and the wrong partner ends market access permanently.
This programme addresses export compliance for defence and dual-use manufacturers. Participants learn the export control architecture, military lists and dual-use classification, the EU dual-use regulation, US controls and their extraterritorial reach (ITAR and EAR), licensing and authorisation, technology transfer and deemed exports, end-use and end-user controls, partner and intermediary due diligence, and building an internal compliance programme.
What you will achieve

- Explain the export control architecture for defence and dual-use goods
