Course Description
Corrosion is not a maintenance problem. It is a design decision made years earlier, expressed slowly, and paid for at the worst possible time — and the difference between an asset that reaches design life and one that fails early is usually a materials choice nobody revisited.
This course develops corrosion management capability. Participants learn corrosion mechanisms and their drivers, environmental factors in oil, gas, water and process service, materials selection against service conditions, corrosion allowance and life prediction, protective coatings and linings, cathodic protection, corrosion inhibition and chemical treatment, monitoring and inspection for corrosion, and the corrosion management system through which it is all held together.
